The Fondazione Studi e Ricerche CRPA is part of a group of institutions headed by CRPA. Founded in 1988 it carries out applied research in the field of environment, animal welfare and rural development. The mission is the conduct of research and the management of services with the aim of promoting technical, economic and social progress in the livestock sector. The issues interested by its research activities are environmental compatibility of the agricultural and food production, rural development and economics, quality and safety of livestock production, feed, buildings and equipment for agriculture and quality of livestock products. In total the Fondazione employs a staff of 35 researchers
